I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
