Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Predictions โ€” And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season introduces a large cast of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs โ€” but they may be surprised at how fast the new season moves, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. [โ€ฆ] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 โ€” particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people create a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
